I have a very unique problem whit my 1.4 TSI twincharger (GT - 2006) engine: If i start the cold engine - i mean the car wasn't used for two or more days (the temperature is now ca. 7 C) - then it's light running isn't good for nearly 10-20 sec. The idling engine is rattling ("shaking"), shows a very abnormal behaviour (rpm ~1100-1200).

Asked on 16 February 2013 by Stardelta. Answered by Honest John. Apparently the new 140PS TSI with cylinder shut-off has reverted to timing belt. But there is a bit of confusion because when you look at the top of a 1.2TSI 105 or 1.4TSI 122 engine there is a plastic cover over the timing chain. Tags: cam belts.
